Two directors appointed by Tencent to the board of Epic Games, the developer of the popular Fortnite franchise, have resigned following pressure from the U.S. Justice Department. The resignation comes after the department expressed concerns that the dual roles of the directors on both Tencent’s and Epic’s boards violated U.S. antitrust laws, particularly the Clayton Act, which prohibits overlapping memberships in competing companies.
